MARKETING COORDINATOR
BA (Hons) Law, CIM L4 Marketing
After completing a Law degree at Teesside University, Jo went on to work for a HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) company for six years taking on numerous job roles including admin, sales, accounts, and purchasing. As the company grew Jo was tasked with developing the company’s digital marketing and subsequently completed a marketing degree at NESMA. Realising that marketing was her passion, Jo joined the Queensway Dental and Orthodontics teams in January 2017 where she would be able to work with a much wider target audience.
At the beginning of 2020, Jo took on a new role of Marketing Coordinator to work for Queensway Orthodontics.
What do you enjoy most about working for Queensway Orthodontics?
Two things: working with such a great team and meeting patients before, during and after treatment. I love seeing patient’s treatment progress and the boost in confidence it gives them along the way.
Where would a patient usually find you in the practice?
My office is in the Orthodontic building upstairs in the marketing office where I work alongside my fantastic colleague Laura – also a marketing coordinator. However, this job means I’m rarely at my desk – you are more likely to find me creating content for our social media pages and website for eg on a Queensway Star photoshoot at various locations or in and out of surgeries taking photos and videos of staff and patients.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
As creating content is such a huge part of my job, I get a real buzz and sense of achievement when I see said content used offline and digitally for eg in magazines and outdoor campaigns and on our social media pages and website.
What do you enjoy doing out of work?
Outside of work I enjoy being outside and active - you will usually find me running, at PT or walking Roseberry topping. I find this is where I normally come up with my most creative ideas for work!
What makes you smile?
I’m quite a smiley person anyway but spending time with my dog, friends and family (in that order haha) can always put a smile on my face.
