At Queensway Orthodontics, we want to do something about it!

We are proud to have recovered over 50 tons of plastic waste from our oceans so far, with the help of our Invisalign patients and rePurpose Global, helping us in our quest to become plastic neutral!

The smallest of acts can prove to have a BIG impact and that’s why, in honour of World Ocean Day, here’s three green initiatives that we have embedded into our business life that can also be incorporated into everyday life.

Litter in our streets, parks, countryside, and beaches is unsightly and can cause harm to creatures on the land and in water courses. 80% of all marine litter comes from land-based sources. Thousands of animals die because they either eat or get tangled up in marine litter, much of which is plastic.

The warmer weather = weekend trips to the beach with friends and family! While you’re there, a simple 5-minute beach clean or litter pick may be enough to save an animal’s life as every piece collected is one less piece that could be eaten or could go on to entangle. Litter encourages litter so cleaning up encourages others to act responsibly!

Our team have booked a beach clean up on Saturday 24th June at Seaton Carew beach! Keep an eye on our social media to see them in action!
