Looking After Your Braces

Getting a beautiful smile requires a bit of work from you as the patient! To get the best results from your braces or Invisalign® clear aligners, you must care for them properly. This involves regular check-ins with your Specialist Orthodontist, proper at-home care, consistent dental cleanings, and swift updates if anything damages them during treatment.

How To Get The Best Smile Results

How To Get The Best Smile Results

We are here to be your support system throughout orthodontic treatment - and make the process as easy as possible for you. While much of the end result relies on the experience and technique of your Orthodontist, we’ll advise you on the best way to look after your braces or clear aligners between check-ins. This may include recommendations against certain foods or drinks, tips for brushing and flossing with braces, and suggestions for safely playing sports.

It’s important you follow these instructions because problems associated with poor dental hygiene or damaged braces can arise if you don’t. And, if you have questions at any time, you can always contact us.

What To Do If You Break A Bracket Or Wire

If a problem arises with your braces or clear aligners, contact us as soon as possible – please don’t leave it until your next visit! Don’t wear broken aligners; if you’ve broken a bracket or wire, you can use orthodontic wax to gently hold it in place until your appointment with us.
