Have an Invisalign Teen Summer!

We’re all familiar with 2024’s Brat Girl Summer (though some of us were more bratty than others, we’ll admit). We think 2025 should be all about that same fun vibe, but with a bit more wholesome happiness. Welcome to your Invisalign Girl or BoySummer! Here’s how to do it.

Have ALL the summer sporty fun!

Whether you’re inspired to play a few games of tennis by watching Wimbledon or are off on football camp for the holidays, throw yourself into it completely. With Invisalign Teen, sport never has to stop - you can wear your retainers for the whole game, set and match.

Dive right in

It’s a myth that you can’t swim while wearing Invisalign. As long as they fit snugly, they’ll stay put just fine and the small amounts of chlorine that might get in your mouth won’t be a problem. No running on the pool side or diving in the shallow end though; that’s just good sense.

Scream for ice cream

No one should miss out on summer ice creams for any reason, but least of all for reasons of retainers. You shouldn’t eat ice cream (or anything actually) with Invisalign in. But if you keep a retainer container with you in your bag, and a mini tooth brush and paste for a quick clean after, you’ll never need to miss out when the ice cream van comes along, tinkling Greensleeves.

Keep hydrated

This should be a summer rule for all of us but drinking plenty of water is even easier to remember when you’re wearing Invisalign. It’s one drink you’re welcome to have as much of as you need without removing your Invisalign as it’s clear so won’t stain your retainers. If you really must drink something that’s not water without removing your retainer first, at least use a straw to avoid the liquid touching the retainer. A little Invisalign Summer hack for you.

Send your orthodontist a postcard

And keep in touch! Or at least don’t forget your weekly scan. With Invisalign Teen you don’t have to come into the clinic very often at all but a weekly dental monitoring scan sent to your orthodontist from wherever you are in the world will make sure you stay on track.

Hit the road

Since you can send your scans in remotely, you can roam wherever you please with Invisalign Teen. Just make sure you’ve packed your retainers, their container, and your whole tooth-cleaning kit and caboodle so you can take care of your retainers home and away on your Invisalign Summer break.

Go wild but not ‘too’ wild

You only have seven summers as a teen to enjoy so make the most of them! Invisalign Teen is designed to restrict your life as little as possible. Summers are for going to bed late, getting up late and throwing the rules out the window. So do have ALL the fun but try to just stick to your simple teeth-cleaning routine and remember to wear your retainer at least 22 hours a day. Then go wild.

Love your summer smile

Life is about the journey, not the destination. Take loads of photos, even if you’re still on your Invisalign journey and your teeth aren’t as perfect as they will be one day just yet.
